Kong Andri's "Uncle Chop" custom Dunny + Labbit silent auction!

Kong Andri, the second place winner for Best Munny in this year's Munnyworld Contest, created this wonderful 3" Dunny and 1.5" Labbit custom set entitled "Uncle Chop." Andri describes the design as "A pig butcher whose gone mad when a piece of carrot plugged itself to his head. Now, controlled by that carrot, Uncle Chop is on a prowl looking for labbits to kill."

There's a lot of clean line work here and lovely little touches, like the labbit outline on his apron. Written on his back is the kanji for — I believe — "butcher man," which makes sense given the design. Instead of simply selling this piece, Andri has decided to do a silent auction to find an owner for it.

Between now and Saturday, June 30th at 8PM Indonesian time (which is 6AM on Saturday PST), e-mail contact [at] mynewobsession [dot] net with your full name, phone number, e-mail address and the amount of your bid. Bids do not include shipping & handling costs and no bid under $30 will be considered. Best of luck to all hoping to win this beautiful piece!

Junko Mizuno's Purple soda girl looks amazing, its great to see that KR are including many adjustments to the dunny platform now.
“I had already designed two Dunnys and this time I wanted to make a crazier one that reflects my recent style. I took some elements such as crazy hair, detailed flowers and gold flames from the paintings that I did in the past two years.”Purple Soda Girl definitely reflects the subject matter Junko painted live at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas last year.

Sergio Mancini

Brazilian designer Sergio Mancini was the first confirmed DS2012 artist when he took Best In Show last year in our 2011 MUNNYWORLD MEGACONTEST. His original design Project: Munny has been given the vector treatment to adorn our beloved Dunny. Although Sergio won’t be attending any DS2012 Trading Parties, the Most Wanted custom artist is gearing up to release his extra special Artist Proofs of Project: Dunny (2/20) with an added triangle accessory plus an original painting. Italian illustrator and table tennis aficionado Mauro Gatti hits us with a double dose of Dunnys with his new playful pair, The Ping Pong Twins (3/40). The founder of Milan based creative firm Mutado, Mauro’s favorite sport has been ping pong since he was a kid and can’t help but wanting to play every time he sees a ping pong table. Dunny 2012.

The wait is almost over for the release of Dunny 2012.

Every year a gusher of petro-packed pieces comes together in that explosive moment known as a Dunny Series, and 2012 lives up to the legend.
Kidrobot presents Dunny Series 2012, featuring 20 designs by 14 artists.
Seasoned Dunny masters jump in the mix with fresh blood, creating characters that push Dunny into new worlds with new sculpts, new uses of the Dunny platform, new treatments, and new plans. A more colorful mix than you would find in the Mos Eisley Cantina, each figure is its own species – an ambassador to the mind of its creator. If you are one of the lucky few to see them all together, you will find a window into what whimsy and wickedness lies under the creative rocks found in the far away corners of the Dunny galaxy.
DS2012 features the emissaries from the hands of Andrew Bell, Attaboy, Scribe, Jeremiah Ketner, Jon-Paul Kaiser, Junko Mizuno, Kronk, MAD, Mauro Gatti, Sergio Mancini, Nakanari, Pac23, Tara McPherson, and Triclops Studio. While supplies last and at select locations, get your hands on an exclusive Dunny by SUCKLORD with the purchase of a case pack. Set to hit the shelves June 21,  and can be found at Kidrobot stores, kidrobot.com, and select retailers worldwide.

SDCC Exclusive – Mahākāla Dunny Prosperity Edition

Signing by Andrew Bell, 12-2pm

Dunny-sattvas take wrathful form when a gentler approach is not effective.
Seemingly demonic, the Mahākāla deity is a stern protector. With his trident, he fights the poisons that blind – pride, lust, greed, and ignorance – and destroys those that hinder the knowledge of enlightenment. He has four arms, three eyes, and one fiery crown. Some compare him to death; others hail him as a glorious guard.  All know him to be fierce.
The 8-inch Mahākāla Dunny by Andrew Bell – wrathful in name, and protective in nature – is inspired by the Mahākāla character, ever present in ceremonies throughout the Himalayan region, originating with ancient Indian and Nepalese culture.  Prosperity Edition is limited to 300 pieces, and rules with a trident accessory, extra set of articulated arms, and removable Dunny skull belt. Set to release at Kidrobot Booth #4529 at San Diego Comic Con for $100.

Kidrobot’s SDCC 2012 Tease

SDCC is just around the corner and Kidrobot has posted this teaser to kind off kill us slowly.
One could make out what some of them are but what they look like we will have to wait with anticipation.

Kidrobot - City Bots.

Kidrobot is lucky to call some stellar cities home. With each unique urban culture, they inspire us, energize us, make us laugh and sometimes make us a bit queasy (take a stroll down Grand street in NYC on a hot summer day). After 10 years of loving urban living, we had to pay homage in the only way we know how: vinyl.
Introducing the Kidrobot City ‘Bots Mini’s. Each 3-inch vinyl figure highlights the city where it is exclusively sold by showcasing the characteristics that the city and its citizens are famous for. Five Kidrobot retail stores have their own special ‘Bot: San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and London. On the scene June 21st, each figure retails for $11.95 (£9.60 UK). Take a summer trip and check them out… these ‘Bots and their cities will not disappoint.

Coarse Toys 1:3 Vinyl figure.

The Rise of pain in dreams.

Marking the 5th anniversary of their first 1:3 vinyl figure release, coarse presents "the rise of pain in dreams". Hand sculpted by Mark Landwehr in the distinctive coarse style and first shown in Chicago in 2010, it has taken coarse 2 years to transform the original sculpture into a vinyl piece. A project of passion, pushed to the limit of technical capabilities.

The damaged being, comes sunken into his mattress, clinging to the last strands of life . Embalmed in bandages, but still the blood seeps out of his mouth and wounds. Fighting inside and out for survival.

Kidrobot Black - AMERICAN DEPRESS

Pop iconoclast Ron English presents the ultimate black vinyl fetish item – American Depress. A three dimensional depiction of America's Bloated Billionaire Mouse Messiah is crucified upon the mousetrap status symbol of American capitalism: the Black Card.
Ron English reinvents imagery from modern popular culture, manipulating visual symbols to create complex, humorous, and insightful meanings. For American Depress, the urban pop prankster has focused on a beloved character happily entrapped by the consumerism that has made him. The over-stuffed mouse is splayed on a 12-inch tall sheet of black ABS, embellished with gold printing. The card numbers reference the beginning of the royal rodent’s reign, and, a very short time after, the darkest hour in the history of the American economy. From there both iconic rodent and consumer grow to obesity until the card’s expiration date - the day of the foretold apocalypse. Fitted with an indent on the back, this modern relic is built to be hung over all we devour.
Typical of the culture this mash-up of feigned innocence and greed represents, American Depress is available for purchase at the right price and limited to the persistent and the lucky. Each of the 200 pieces in this edition is hand numbered, with the artist’s signature engraved on the back.

This piece is only available from Kidrobot  following this link http://black.kidrobot.com/
