Describe your shop.
IT'S a wonderland of designer collectable toys and has a fabulous energy, with many fun and interesting things to look at.
What makes your shop unusual?
We sell a range of products and merchandise not found anywhere else in Cape Town. The toys are all limited-edition designer collectables.
How did you come up with the name?
At the time of starting the shop, there were a lot of strikes happening so we played around with the idea of toyi-toying and came up with the name.
Why did you open a shop like this?
I've had a barrow at the waterfront for five years and have wanted to expand. I also carry a few other selected brands like Mooks Clothing and Skullcandy Headphones. I also create customised display cabinets for the toys and now I have place to exhibit them.
Do you have more branches?
Yes, we have a barrow at the V&A Waterfront.
What were you doing before?
I am still a plumbing contractor.
What are your plans for the shop?
To create an outlet for local designers and artists to display and sell their creations, and to make available to the public this incredible new form of art - toys.
Describe your customers.
We have a very wide spectrum of customers - from kids aged five or six to adults of 96. Many of our clients are in the design industry or are involved with creative work of some kind.
Where is your shop?
49 Kloof Street, Gardens, Cape Town.

In order to get the job done, we had to bring in the top gun, the Aviator. Engineered optics for your ears. Tactical precision and design...Stay fly.
64Colors has created this most beautiful custom for one very lucky collector. This Mega 20 " Dunny is called Super Rainbow. Well done for a incredible piece.

Designer, Carson Catlin has mad skills when it comes to controlling the molten colors he strategically pours on his custom Dunnys and Fatcaps. His latest round of Runny customs are vivid, clean and bold. Hit up Carson’s website for availability as these simple standouts are disappearing quickly.
Jeff Soto has done it again with the release of his latest Seeker "Ice Edition"which is limited to 150 pieces world wide. It is 11 inches in height.

OK, you've seen a couple of these guys before, and although my wife says, "haven't you done that idea to death?" I said, "no, in fact I've only done two." Believe it or not I did the original tree ent that got me a win in Munnyworld almost two years ago and the another munny ent shortly after but otherwise, no other munny ents. SOOOOO, I figured I'd make a series of them. This isn't your average mini munny though, I stretched the body an additional 2 inches to give the added tree effect. The series is limited to six of which two are reserved for a couple special individuals in my family. Plus the original is also available, so that makes 5 that will be at the show. Each one is handed painted, signed and numbered.
OK, here's number two. Now I know this seems like it's beat to death but people seem to like and I've allowed myself to make a mega, a regular size one and now a series of minis. BUT THAT"S IT!! No more golems for you after this. hehe, at least not this version ;-)There will be 8 of these fellas available at the show tomorrow. The original plus 7 out of 10 of the resin series, three are being held back. Each is signed, numbered and comes with a "Golem, my command is card" which will allow the owner to cast a command spell to their golem.Aren't they cute?
