Inspired by the melodramatic cover art of romance novels and based on his original silkscreen artwork, Dutch artist Parra has crafted Pierced, a 10-inch tall vinyl sculpture that has no front or back, telling its story in the round. Using his signature post-Pop imagery and highly saturated colors with contrasting matte and gloss finishes, Parra depicts two figures entwined and suspended in a dramatic dance of passion and pain, revealing multiple levels of love.

Inspired by the ancient folk tales of Nathan Jurevicius‘ Lithuanian roots, the Misko Mini Series figures are the first Kidrobot toys fabricated from wood.  With interchangeable heads and neck plumage that can be mixed and matched, these spirits of the forest embody sacred owls fashioned from 2.5 inches of vividly painted Super Schima. Round and solid, they are a spectacular species identified by their scalloped collars, pointed ears, and 8 color variations: Grey, Yellow, Teal, White, Red, Pink, Black, and Blue. With blood drowning out the noop’s mouth, and his falling paw! kite stained with spatter. The tiny tentacle feet of nism are stepping into a puddle of blood.
The ill-fated pair comes sheltered in soft black sponge, and packaged in a smooth matte-black box. Sheathed in a casting shadows sleeve complete with interactive pop ups – a nism teeth shield "love ends" and a noop pain gate "time to harvest", waiting for you to test the balance of their drastic detachment.

Well this must be a good year for local designer Kronk, he will have another toy released by Kidrobot on the 10th May 2012.
His latest creation is a 6" Totem Fatcap.
Totem loves the modern world. With an over-inflated sense of awesomeness and a love for dicey online casino games and XXX reading material, this FatCap consumes technology like bandwidth grows on trees.

The Totem FatCap by Kronk is 6-inches of vinyl symbolism, enshrining the evils of vanity, lust, and greed on the iconic FatCap platform. Otto Bjornik - "Revenge of the Wolves"

I received this mail and thought that you should all see the incredible work.

Dear friends and fellow toy lovers,

I've finally finished my 4th series, Revenge of the Wolves, which is a collaboration between me and my little sister. I did the design and customizing while she did the great task of sewing the clothes and making them fit. This was a project that I had been wanting to do since mid last year. And seeing it come to reality is in itself a great achievement for me. I can honestly say that this has been a labor of love that I can't wait to share with all of you. Here's the story:

"The rumbling in her babies' tummies is too much for Lyca to bear.  It has been days since they've last eaten, not since her husband was viciously killed while foraging for food.  Every night, Lyca and her little ones visit the bluffs where she and her husband first fell in love.  There, she wails for their loss and longingly calls out for him in the vast emptiness.  But the only sound that answers is the echo of her cubs' whimpers and the growling of their tummies.  

She must snap out of her grief and feed her starving babies.  With a mother's instincts and a widow's vindictiveness, Lyca vows to avenge her husband's murder.  She already got rid of the lumberjack.  All she has to do now is devise a plan to get that rabbit Lago once and for all."  

The toys will be sold in pairs. One wolf (7" munny or 3" dunny) will be paired to a red riding hood dunny(3"). But if you're interested in getting the entire set(as shown in the attached image), please feel free to contact me before the 24th as I'd prefer to keep them together. I'll start doing full reveals of the toys, including an 8" Lago, in my store starting Friday. They'll be available for purchase on the 24th at around 9pm EST. KegO' BOOM By "The Given"

"Introducing South Africa's first locally produced and manufactured Designer Resin Toy, “Keg O’ Boom” from The Given.

Keg O’ Boom is the realisation of years worth of idea’s, planning and hard work from Cape Town artist and designer; The Given.

Keg O’ Boom is a Super Limited Edition resin figure which has been hand moulded and cast from The Given’s original sculpt.

No more than 50 pieces of this brilliant figure will see the light of day with 1 in every 5 being Rare Glow in the Dark Variants and

there is even rumour of one Ultra Rare hand painted figure.

The figure will be available during a pre-order period of 1 month for the surprisingly low amount of R150.

Once the pre-order period is over whatever figures have not been snapped up will be sold at a retail level at a price of R180.

We invite you to take part in making this project a success, so that hopefully we shall soon see South Africa’s Second locally produced and Manufactured Designer Resin Toy.

But you best hurry as we don’t expect these collector pieces to hang around for very long.
